2017 Top Fall Activities Boise ID
Fall is a great time of year to be in the City of Trees - and the community activities are just as fun as the colorful leaves! Below are listed a few different events and/or attractions worth checking out:
Saturday, October 25: Boo at the Zoo!
In conjunction with Delta Dental and other local businesses, Zoo Boise is hosting a big Halloween event for the whole family! Activities include a costume contest, games, face painting, candy, pumpkins and more. On top of that, you’ll have the opportunity to look at the zoo itself, as all of the incredible exhibits are open for visitors.
September 22 - October 28: Farmstead Corn Maze & Pumpkin Festival
The Farmstead Corn Maze gets better and better each each year as families, friends, and group parties hit the stalks and get lost in a good old-fashioned corn maze! Known for growing Idaho’s Original Corn Maze, the themes get more and more extravagant with each season. This year the maze is featuring “Pac-Man” as “Pac-Maize.” In years past we’ve seen The Wizard of Ox, Peter Pan, Boise State Broncos, and so many more classics! It’s endless fun at the Farmstead, because in addition to the infamous maze, there are: hayrides, a pumpkin patch, corn poppers, pig races, pony rides, corn hole, food options, and so much more! Honest fun for everyone at a very reasonable price.
September 22 - October 31: Zombie Acres
If you’re looking for something a little more spooky and adventurous, Zombie Acres at Linder Farms is the place for you this fall! They say zombies have taken over part of the Linder Farms corn maze, and they need our help to stop them from taking over the rest of it. Armed with a paintball gun, you charged with taking out the zombies on this one-of-a-kind adventure through one of the best corn mazes in the area. That being said, maybe you’re thinking that Zombie Acres isn’t the best fit for the whole family, especially the younger kids! Don’t worry, Linder Farms has a lot more to offer, including a much tamer maze and kid-friendly attractions.
September 15 - October 31: The Haunted World
Want something even scarier than Zombie Acres? The Haunted World in Caldwell, Idaho is a 35 acre scare that takes you on a creepy journey through a corn maze made of unworldly tall crops. When you start to wonder how the stalks got to be so tall, you learn the terrible history of the Gristle family farmers and what they did to have such agricultural success. The full terrifying tale can be found on their website, but know they warn you ahead of time to be ready for a jumpy, screamy night!
As you can see, the possibilities are endless! Have fun this fall by celebrating the color changes and the Halloween season in an exciting new way. For more in Boise ID
